Big Happy Greek Wedding
Dimitri wanted to surprise his new bride by having ‘old’ and ‘new’ types of transport waiting outside their church. As they exited Dimitri and his best man changed into their national Greek costume and joined Sandy Kokas, Di Bennett and two donkeys from the Good Samaritan Donkey Sanctuary (the latter resplendent in authentic Greek saddles and throws).
The addition of Greek music and dancing added to the bride and guests’ amusement.
Delighted with the presence of the donkeys, many onlookers had stories to tell of these creatures in
the old country. And, as the bride is of Irish descent, the donkeys were doubly fitting at this wedding.
Contact Jo Anne Kokas (02 4996 5596) to talk
about donkeys at your wedding.
